South Carolina Mayor Calls Gays ‘Queers’ On Facebook
Mayor Linda Oliver, of West Union, SC, supposedly posted on Facebook:
“What’s it gonna take to get these queers to realize they don’t need a piece of paper. God will not bless their union because he plainly speaks against queers in the Bible. Want to cover your queer with insurance? Buy a policy. Want your queer to get your stuff when you die? Make a will,” according to the Towleroad.com website.
The alleged post has since been deleted.
Which is why he post is “alleged.” Also on the social networking service:
The Facebook page of a Linda Oliver who identifies herself as the mayor of West Union, S.C., includes a post from about 11 p.m. ET Thursday that reads, “I know that thru this storm Jesus will not leave me nor forsake me.”
Because Jesus loves everyone, even bigoted southerners who wrap themselves around Him when convenient.
