Gun Nut Brandishes Weapon At Mall, Then Whines When Questioned
This is another example of someone with a gun who wants to carry it around in plain site for no other reason other than that he can. But it’s also against the law to intimidate the public, as a police officer points out.
Posting on the Golden Triangle Tactical Facebook page, a man lamented the fact that his firearm was confiscated during one of his open-carry displays:
Today I decided to exercise my 2nd amendment right and carry my AR15 slung over my back ,barrel down in a non threatening manner to work at Golden Triangle Tactical inside Parkdale Mall, as I was walking to my store I decided to head into Gamestop to see what new games have came out. After about 5 minutes 8 police officers came in and began questioning me why I had it and took my drivers license and the license of a friend of mine who was with me I explained to them simply because it was my right to do so I am a free man and that I needed no reason and Texas law you can open carry a long gun. one of the officers took my firearm and slammed my 2500 dollar rifleās barrel into the ground the police took my firearm and did not charge me with anything saying I cant (sic) open carry if someone is offended more or less and let me go. If you think Texas is a open carry state when it comes to rifles apparently not, there is a select few thugs in the Beaumont Police department who thinks other wise (sic).
