South Carolina Poised To Allow Guns In Bars
The South Carolina Senate has approved a b ill allowing guns in bars. If the House approves, as expected, and Governor Nikki Haley signs it it is a big victory for gun advocates. Here’s what the bill does:
• Allow people who have concealed weapons permits to carry firearms into bars and restaurants – places that serve alcohol – regardless of the time.
• Require businesses that do not want firearms on site to post signs prohibiting them.
• Eliminate the requirement of eight hours of mandatory training to obtain a concealed weapons permit, allowing retired law enforcement and military members to show proof of previous training.
Brings new meaning to what a “shot” is.
