Cops Seek Man Who Shredded U.S. Flag Flying Outside McDonald’s
A man arrived at a Sarasota, FL McDonald’s and took down both the American flag and the McDonald’s flag. The American flag he shredded. The McDonald’s flag he stole.
The male suspect arrived at the Sarasota restaurant in a “new white Toyota Tundra pickup and cut the rope of the flag pole,” according to a police report. The man then lowered the two flags and “shredded the USA flag,” which was left at the scene and later seized as evidence by cops.
The suspect, who escaped with the McDonald’s flag, departed in a vehicle whose tag number was recorded by witnesses.
