Bride Shoots Niece Dead On Wedding Day
Christina Nicole George-Harvan got married Thursday, after which she shot her niece, Katelyn Francis, in the bar where the reception was taking place.
According to police, the shooting stemmed from an argument between George-Harvan (pictured), her new husband Jeremy Harvan and Francis about who would drive them all home from the bar.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that Harvan told police that his new bride got a 9 mm Glock handgun out of his truck and shot Francis in the parking lot outside the bar. George-Harvan reportedly told police that she did fire the gun.
Francis, who was shot in the abdomen, died en route to a local hospital.
