Republican State Rep: Gay Sex Is 8 People ‘Taking A Dump In Your Bed’
Anti-gays have the most eloquent ways of dreaming about gay sex.
Now, grab a chair, hit yourself in the head with a mallet and get ready for the worst, weirdest, saddest analogy about the LGBT community and/or consensual same-sex acts you’ll ever hear in your life: “Is it OK for, you know,” South Dakota pastor and Republican state Rep. Steve Hickey begins, “eight of your friends that you’re in love with to take a dump in your bed and then you can sleep in it all year long?” WELL, IS IT?
Here’s the back story: In late April, Rep. Hickey wrote a typically enlightened screed that the hometown Argus Leader declined to run, so it ended up as a Facebook post called “A One Way Alley for the Garbage Truck.” This was clearly meant to provoke, and it did…
Naturally, this attempt to humiliate and defile gay people generated a stir. Many people around the nation were outraged, but in Hickey’s own district, Dr. Kevin J. Weiland, a practicing physician and one-time Democratic candidate for Congress, did get a response published in the Argus Leader saying that Hickey was “not only hurtful but entirely wrong.”
Hickey got his chance to respond, not in the paper, but in this 39-minute sit-down with Argus Leader Managing Editor Patrick Lalley this week. That’s when he dropped the bombshell above. And now you’re all caught up.
