Pat Robertson will be next busted. Robertson and his parishners went in retreat before 2012 election to pray that President Obama lose the re-election and Romney the Mormon be elected. If only it were limited to men of the cloth. But these represent only a fraction of pedophiles. And the church doesn’t teach that all sex is bad. A common fallacy perpetuated by people devoid of faith. Sex between a man and woman in a marriage that are willing to accept children as the natural outcome is one of the most beautiful and spiritually fulfilling acts of love.
It is the debauchery and infidelities and promiscuity and mockery of the sex act by sodomy crazed homosexuals that is wrong.

Divorce may be at an all time high and so is adultery teen pregnancies are also high. But those aren’t religious followers of Christianity.
I can’t speak for those who have fallen away from the one true church. But there are only two types of Catholics, the faithful and the disobedient.
The faithful would not commit such sins and the disobedient have traded morality and the nobility of self-sacrifice for self gratification and the debasement of their body and soul.
I would much rather live in a world where we strive even imperfectly for the former than a world of those who perfectly achieve the latter.

It’s difficult to know how many were reported.
Female victims of sexual abuse by Catholic priests tended to be younger than the males. Data analyzed by John Jay researchers, shows that the number and proportion of sexual misconduct directed at girls under 8 years old was higher than that experienced by boys the same age.
But certainly there was more access to boys.

Yes the problem is decades old. It began when seminaries began admitting homosexuals into the priesthood.
Rare as any new allegations as the seminaries have begun restricting access to homosexuals. Almost all the cases being brought forward today are ” repressed memories” of abuse by adolescent young men and gay priests that happened decades ago. Often the priest is already dead. But lawyers go after the church not the perp.
