It’s not like she was a child or anything. She was already 11.

An Albuquerque father is facing a child endangerment charge after police say he left a loaded .22 caliber gun with his 11-year-old daughter for her protection while he went to get a tattoo.

KOB-TV reports that John Ruiz was arrested this week shortly after a neighbor spotted his daughter with the firearm at an apartment complex swimming pool.

Authorities say the girl didn’t threaten anyone with the gun, but told officers her dad left her the weapon for protection.

Wow. At least this story didn’t end with dead children. That little girl has more sense than a lot of adults do.

The moron should be locked up for “bad parenting”. Unfortunately this is very common in this country because of lax gun laws. Thanks again NRA…
