GOP Arizona Gov. Candidate: ‘I Often Shoot With My Eyes Closed’ In Case I’m Attacked At Night
Christine Jones, a former counsel for Internet domain registrar GoDaddy, put $2 million of her own money into her campaign to succeed Jan Brewer. Her big hobby: shooting.
After explaining that she is “cutting a lot of checks” to her campaign, Jones demonstrated her shooting prowess , described as her “own way of shooting.”
“I don’t change clothes, I don’t change glasses, um, I often shoot one-handed, I often shoot with my eyes closed,” she said.
Asked why, Jones replied, “Because chances are, if somebody attacks you, it’s going to be in the night.”
After shooting multiple times at target, Jones managed to hit the target once in shoulder, before admitting “That’s a problem at thirty yards.”

I can see practicing in the dark but not with your eyes shut, that just seems dumb. Get out in the country and go coon hunting at night or something, learn to shoot when visibility is low, not with your eyes shut.

If she can only put one round in the target at 30yds she needs to practice A LOT more. Eyes open or closed, just hope you’re not downrange of her if she decides to open fire.

Yep, that’s what it sounds like. She’s goin’ all gunz blazin as a campaign tactic. If she closes her eyes, it’s because the muzzle flash spooks her.
I could see practicing to shoot blind if one is a trained combat shooter who needs to rely on/hone all five senses in battle.
She’s just a nervous poser.

I am not a shooter and have never received any training – but wouldn’t it be a good idea to become proficient the regular eye open way first? It’s just a guess, but I’m betting military snipers, law enforcement and Olympic shooters probably trained with their eyes open.

It’s not a matter of being able to shoot with your eyes closed…it is the ability to think with your brain open that will determine how well you can do the job as governor.
The lady has no range sense, as well as no common sense.
