Michele Bachmann Suddenly Loves Taxes–For Immigrants
At the tax rate she proposes? 100%.
In a conference call with the anti-immigrant group Numbers USA last week, Rep. Michele Bachmann called illegal immigration a “war against the American people” and suggested that the U.S. levy a 100 percent tax on money that immigrants send back to Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala in order to put pressure on those countries’ governments.
The Minnesota Republican spoke just before House Republican leadership handed its immigration policy over to her and Rep. Steve King .
“When are we going to get serious and really deport and deport right on the border?” Bachmann asked.
“Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala, those countries are laughing at us because they’re making money with their corrupt governments in conjunction with these international criminal cartels, they’re all making money and kickbacks,” she said. “What I believe we should do is have a 100 percent tax on remittances, the money that illegal aliens send back to these countries.”
“What we have to recognize is this truly is a war against the American people,” she added.

And of course corporations should pay no taxes according to wingnuts like Bachmann.
Seriously, we have get out the vote and stop the republicans because conservatism is cruel, inhumane, hateful and a mental illness.

How about we try something like that on the ultra rich and large corporations. If you try and take money out of American and hide it in a another country and we find it, you lose it. If we can’t seize it where it is at, we have the authority to seize something of equal value where we can. The rich and large corporations are at war with America taking money out of the American economy it is time to tax them at 100%. What do you say, Michele Bachmann, are you in, or do you just want to pick on the poor you don’t like?

It is a juicy target though. Some $85 Billion IIRC, each year is sent south via Western Union, mailgram, and plain old mail.

And, immoral to even contemplate. But, Bachmann has no problem with considering such a penalty in her eagerness to drive the fringe ever further from reality.

Just think how juicy a target the ultra-rich and large corporations are. We might be able to pay off the national Debt in a decade or so.

Next week, Bachmann will describe how to squeeze blood from a stone.

The people who should get the extra tax should be all the folks who want to keep letting all these illegals in. You want them, you should have to shoulder the financial burden for them.

I need some intellectual stimulation.
Can I ask you a couple policy questions?
foxnewslieseveryday August 5th, 2014 at 10:28 pm
Shouldn’t Bachmann stop taking Farm bill giveaways and maybe start paying an extra tax to pay for the wars of choice she cheerled for years and never sacrificed a dime to start paying for yet?
Or should she just shut the F up?

You’ll never see pro-lifers adopting any of the border kids or any unwanted babies.
