NJ Cop: Obama Doesn’t Follow Constitution, So Why Should We?
It must be comforting to hear a police officer justify throwing out the Constitution simply because of his own, distorted political views. When Steve Wronco asserted his right to be in a public building, officer Richard Recine said rights don’t mean anything with Obama in the White House.
Steve Wronko had a camera inside the public building as part of an investigation he was doing, and Officer Richard Recine tracked him down to ask who he is what what he’s doing there. Wronko repeatedly asserted a First Amendment right to be doing what he’s doing, but Recine was having none of it.
In fact, he said, “Obama has decimated the friggin’ Constitution, so I don’t give a damn, ’cause if he doesn’t follow the Constitution, we don’t have to.”
Police Director Robert Manney appeared in the video too, but after Recine had made those comments, and upon learning what Recine said, he called it an “embarrassment” and said there’s an investigation underway.

I am pretty sure there’s no NO BLACK PRESIDENTS clause in the Constitution, but that’s the only part I can think of that Obama has “decimated”.

When law enforcement officers make these type of outrageous political comments, they should immediately be disarmed, de-badged and put on leave until a thorough background check is made. We do NOT need Leos who are political fanatics!!!

This is the fallout from all the lies the conservative media peddles. Accusation after accusation is trumpeted even after each is debunked. The sad thing is they are successful at it. People start thinking well they keep saying it, so it must ne true.
I agree with m2old4bs. When you talk to conservatives about this you get all the Republican talking points. When you explain the facts to them they simply refuse to believe it. You know, ‘somebody paid them off’, ‘more liberal lies’, ‘you’re just in love with Obummer’, etc., etc.

Same as any conspiracy theory works. New evidence contradicts your theories? Just draw the circle of conspiracy wider in order to include the new source. And it happens gradually, so to those who fall for them it might be a long time, and take on ridiculous forms, before they notice that they’ve been fed pure bull all along.
Stephen Colbert’s description of “factose-intolerant” says it best, I think. It’s hard to educate these people using credible sources if their definition of credible includes “they agree with what I already believe.”

I have been very concerned about this since W’s time in office. His zeal to torture, excuse me, enhance the interrogation experience of suspects, the general above the law attitude they portrayed has finally bubbled up. This cop is but one troubling example.

Are you concerned that our President was using a deck of cards to pick who he would drone? I notice that many politicians cheat on their taxes or do not pay at all and they do not end up in jail nor do they have to pay the interest and penalties on their back taxes. Two stunning examples would be Charles Rangel and Timothy Geithner. Rangel actually was the Chairman of Ways and Means which actually write our tax codes and even Rangel could not figure out how to pay his taxes. Same goes for Geithner and he was the HEAD of the Treasury Dept. By the way, we only used enhanced interrogation techniques on THREE scum sucking rats who had a hand in the killing of 3000 of our fellow Americans. We also do not follow ANY of our immigration laws, I don’t know why we even pretend to have a border. At this point we should just merge with Latin America.

Actually, I’m more concerned that clowns like you who come to respect for law and order way too late to be anything but obvious right wing, fringe hacks whose version of lawfulness and good government practices starts with damning this President while ignoring an administration that practiced torture as the cherry on top of an unnecessary and false war that cost an obscene number of lives and crippling injuries while pissing away trillions of dollars, unpaid BTW until this President put those expenditures on the balance sheet, while not actually catching, killing or bringing to justice the people who attacked us.
Oh, the current guy got them, the current guy inherited the deficit, the current hasn’t prosecuted the war criminals and the current guy has made a fair dent in the financial crap that the war criminal left after eight years of economic carnage.
Oh, BTW, those “enhanced interrogation techniques on THREE scum sucking rats” produced nothing in the way of actual information. And, the real, actionable intelligence, came from interviews with them before they were tortured. So, may I add your name to the domestic terrorists that this country needs to round up, indict and try for war crimes?
