Fatally Struck By Stray Bullet While Sitting In His Home
The New Haven, CT man was in his home playing solitaire on his birthday when a stray bullet struck and killed him.

When police responded they found Darryl McNair shot inside his home on Strong St.
Police say the man was apparently struck by a stray bullet inside an office area in his basement. Investigators do not believe McNair was the intended target…
“Not even three hours ago he was dancing in the street,” McNair’s stepdaughter, Chandra Costin told NBC Connecticut. “I said, ‘look at him.’ He was enjoying himself. Now he’s gone. What do we do? Where do we go?”
The friend says that people inside the house heard the sound of gunshots then heard McNair say “I’m hit.” When family members ran into the room, they found McNair on the ground.
