Part Of White House Evacuated Because Of Intruder
President Obama wasn’t present when part of the White House was evacuated after the Secret Service spotted an intruder running on the grounds.
[su_center_ad]Obama had just left aboard the Marine One helicopter for Camp David, the presidential retreat in nearby Maryland, when armed, uniformed Secret Service personnel ordered the press corps and members of the White House staff to evacuate.

Thank God the President was safe. The intruder made it all the way into the building, what if he had been wearing a suicide bomb vest? What if this had been an actual coordinated attack with multiple intruders with bombs? An attack on the whitehouse even if the president were not there or injured would be a massive victory for terrorists.

Well said. So you’re for reversing tea party’s across the board sequester budget cuts to Secret Service, Milt, etc? Vs Congress deleting the specific outdated programs including weapons systems the Pentagon repeatedly testified it doesn’t need or want e.g. Abrams Tank, 3rd type of F-16 motors, etc?
Most don’t know the Secret Service staff is reduced when the POTUS isn’t at the White House. But the perimeter sensors remain including detectors for seismic, audio, video imaging motion systems, thermo neutron analysis explosive detectors, guns, high energy weaponized deterrents, etc.

Gonzales, 42, of Copperas Cove, Texas, hopped over the north White House fence line near Pennsylvania Avenue about 7:20 p.m. Friday, setting off a standard security alarm indicating a breach of the perimeter. Officers demanded that he stop, but he did not respond, and they were unable to reach him on foot before he got inside the unlocked front doors of the presidential mansion. Today a teaclown was also arrested for trespassing after pulling his car into a White House access gate at 15th and E streets and refusing to leave, according to a Secret Service official.
