New Way To Get Shot: Obeying Police Commands Precisely While Black
[su_right_ad]On the same day prosecutors released surveillance video of John Crawford III being shot dead for allegedly failing to “obey police commands,” authorities in South Carolina released dash-cam video of a 35 year-old black man being shot by a cop for obeying police commands to the letter. In Crawford’s case, police say he failed to obey their commands to put down an air rifle that they thought was a real gun, and while the video appears to show that he was trying to do that when he was shot, there was apparently enough wiggle room in the minds of grand jurors to let the officers off scot-free.
In the case of Levar Jones, there was no pre-existing threat, and the only actions Jones took were those the officer demanded of him, and he still got shot.
This wasn’t even a case of a cop pulling someone over on a dark, mysterious highway. On September 4, Jones was already parked at a gas station and convenience store when Lance Corporal Sean Groubert noticed Jones wasn’t wearing his seatbelt, and pulled up behind him. He told Jones, who was already out of his car, to produce his license. When Jones reached into the open door of his car to get his license, Groubert screamed at him to get out of the car, and as Jones immediately obeyed, Groubert fired five times. Fortunately, Jones was only hit once, in the hip, and is making a full recovery.

Five shots from five feet away, at a stationary target, and only one hit? From a “lance corporal” (whatever the hell that is) police officer? More proof that these Rambo wannabe ammosexual gunstrokers who fantasize about being ‘the good guy with a gun’ who’s gonna take out the baddies is just that – a fantasy.
He’s damn lucky none of the other four bullets hit anybody.

The police are running amok in this country of ours. It’s way past time people come to realize it and start to demand change.
It’s all on account of the war on drugs that we have fearful, militarized police training programs where they are taught everyone’s a suspect, to shoot fist, shoot to kill and ask questions later, especially of the “perp” is black. This cop pulled this guy over and the cop was scared shitless, that’s simply not proper training, he had no business being in uniform.
There’s really no reason why beat cops have deadly weapons at all, they can do their jobs just fine dealing with the at large public with non-lethal weapons. Pulling someone over for a seatbelt violation requires a Glock? Real world circumstance can put them in a position to protect themselves, a 38. cal pistol is perfectly suited for that.
