Republican Congressman: Generals Who Disagree With Obama Should Resign
Colorado Congressman Doug Lamborn says Generals who don’t like the way President Obama is conducting the war should resign.
At a liberty group meeting this week, Lamborn was asked about supporting the military and troops “despite the fact that there is no leadership from the Muslim Brotherhood in the White House.”
Lamborn said, “Let me reassure you on this. A lot of us are talking to the generals behind the scenes, saying, ‘Hey, if you disagree with the policy that the White House has given you, let’s have a resignation. You know, let’s have a public resignation, and state your protest, and go out in a blaze of glory.’”
Lamborn’s opponent, Irv Halter (who happens to be a retired Air Force major general), quickly issued a statement condemning Lamborn for “encouraging our military leaders to resign when they have a disagreement over policy.” He said, “Someone who serves on the House Armed Services Committee should know better.”[su_csky_ad]

I’m embarrassed that this is my Congressman. He once again proves the idiocy that is Colorado Springs.
Good news though, is that there is a strong Democrat running against him, Irv Halter, a retired AF general. He has been taking Lamborn to the woodshed for refusing to debate and this particular tone deaf remark. Hopefully he wins and sends Lamborn packing!

Rules are different working in the corporate world vs the military. Not doing what you are supposed to do can get you written up or fired in the corporate world. Not doing as commanded in the military can get you a few years in prison. Understand now? Probably not….

When? What year? 31 years is a long time. Okinawa, Guam, 1st Recon Batallion at Camp Pendleton, 2nd Force Recon at Camp LeJeune, NC. 2 tours in Iraq and 2 in Afghanistan. Saw my first dead Marine in Beirut during the 1983 barracks bombing and my last in Kandahar Province in Afghanistan. What else do you want to know?

My branch of service didn’t have an MOS, you have us confused with the Army. We had AFSC designations. If you must know I was NCOIC of a USAF combat weather team that was attached to a cadre of FACs out of Ft. Bliss, Texas and the 3rd ACR. After that I was attached to the Army 29th ID out of Schofield Barracks, HI as NCOIC of a combat weather team. What did you do, pass out MREs to basic trainees?
