The Michigan Republican Party gave out a number for state House candidate John Fisher to express displeasure of Obamacare. The number went to his 91-year-old mother in hospice care.

The mailers, which were paid for by the Michigan Republican Party, urge voters to callJohn Fisher, a candidate for the 61st state House District, and “Tell him hard-working Michiganders are being hurt by Obamacare and the health care policies (Democrats) support.”…

The number is registered under Fisher’s name, but is a direct line to his mother’s room at Tendercare Portage, where Isabel Kramb is currently receiving hospice care for congestive heart failure, said Fisher’s campaign manager David Topping.[su_csky_ad]

The progressive base needs to turnout and get rid of these Republican idiots!

I would agree with you if it weren’t for the fact that the Progressive base would be electing, mostly, corporate Democrats. Sure, the Progressive base can turn out and elect them to block Republicans. Which is a good thing.

      In the short term.

However, I’m of the belief that the Republicans should win. We here in America need more suffering and the Republicans are thoroughly capable of providing it. More suffering so that people get up off their asses, and truly elect Progressives – not Corporate Prostitutes like The Democratic Party.

It is counter-intuitive. Better to lose a battle and win the war, than to simply lose it all.

YeaH,yeah. We get it, you’re a “progressive” not a Democrat. The Republican alternative is not the better alternative. Extremes in politics while sometimes desirable, usually are loser positions.

It’s not about what you want, it’s about getting a functioning majority. Majority rules, that’s how our system of government works, and that’s how democracy works. Democracy being what it is, most Democrats will be somewhere in the middle, unless they are running in a very left wing district/state, like Maxine Waters or Elizabeth Warren.

The root word of “progressive” BTW, is “progress.” How much progress has been made by loud unicorn progressives like you complaining about Democrats not being 100% perfect or liberal, and allowing Republicans to win? Explain to me what is gained by allowing blue Dog Democrats to lose, and do-nothing Republicans to replace them?

As for money in politics, money has never been a deciding factor, votes have. If money determined who wins, then we’d have a President Romney, and Eric Cantor would be a lock to win his House seat. And your insistence that Democrats are “corporate backed” is absolute crap, most of the Democrat donations come from unions and trial lawyers. Most of the corporate bigwigs donate to the Republican Party, and the proof is here. http://pleasecutthecrap.com/think-both-parties-get-campaign-money-from-same-people-think-again/

The Federal government is a Republic. The States practice more like a democracy.

Progress is achieved by backing Progressives. The Democratic Party is progressive in only one area: Social rights of minorities. That’s not progress. That’s a narrow agenda that allows Corporate Democrats and Big Business to use as a wedge to divide the electorate while they cooperate in impoverishing the electorate and pursuing a neo-Conservative (which is not any more Conservative than neo-liberal economics is Liberal) foreign policy.

People change and act when they suffer. Republicans would bring that suffering. Until then, or barring some radical change in course, to The Left, of current Democratic Party Corporatists… the same agenda that has been occurring for decades: The rise of plutocrats; will continue.

You can vote for that last. I and many others refuse to.

Money is but one determining factor. A very large one. For instance, campaign cash established two Presidential contenders in the last Presidential elections. After all, no one with less cash than Obama or Romney, ever made it even close to being President. Campaign cash is also a very good indicator of who wins: generally, those with significant or overwhelming funds. There is a correlation.

And before you use Rove as an example, remember that the cash he raised was spread over many races. Just to cut you short and prevent any fallacious thinking on your part. And something to do with Anonymous.

Now, just how many bankers went to jail for 2008 and just how many people lost their homes, erroneously under an Obama Presidency with Eric Holder at DoJ and weak regulators appointed by Obama and confirmed by The Senate?

          Thought so.

Gotta wonder how they found this number. Did they tap into his cellphone contact list? I hope Fisher find’s out how they got it and files a lawsuit. This is totally inexcusable & devious harassment!

It’s getting hard to make up ridiculous ways to make fun of republicans. Truth is more horrible than any silly sarcastic thing I could make up to tease them about.

What awful humans these folks who did this were, and folks who will still vote for them are perhaps worse. I’m sure that anyone who votes republican will claim it an accident, but still…
