[su_center_ad]The heat in the war between the Ku Klux Klan and Anonymous just got turned up another notch. Ever since the Traditionalist American Knights of the Ku Klux Klan (TAKKKK) threatened to use “lethal force” against peaceful African-American protesters in Ferguson, Missouri, the hacktivist collective has been decimating the KKK. From taking down Klan web sites,…

Time to start releasing the phone numbers of the leaders and see what happens.

    • rg9rts November 23rd, 2014 at 8:52 am

SSN’s and addresses then let the rain of credit cards begin

  2. rg9rts November 23rd, 2014 at 8:51 am

Oh Oh Oh How sweet it is….next the baggers please

  3. burqa November 23rd, 2014 at 9:17 am

The thing is, the Klan is so heavily infiltrated by the FBI, a lot of those numbers could conceivably be those of undercover federal fuzz.
It is sure fun imagining the Klan squirming and all, and it was quite a hoot when a few of them showed up here a week or so ago.
That said, my opinion of what Anonymous is doing is unchanged.
    This will not end well.
Having this kind of ability – read power – in the hands of people with no accountability, no oversight, no checks and balances of any sort, is a danger to us all.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely. That’s why I say this will not end well.
It is easy to stand up for the Constitutional rights of those we agree with and like, but the real test comes when it is a group as horrid as the Klan.
They have the same freedoms we do and should have the same legal protections for their right to privacy, the right of freedom from unreasonable search and seizure, and the right to be able to sue or press charges in cases where these rights are violated and in cases of slander or libel.
Anonymous feels they do not have to respect those rights and therein lies the danger.
Abuse of this power to violate the rights of others with impunity is coming, sooner or later.

To go with the first point in my post, above, true story comes to mind of a man I’ve known for decades. He served with distinction as a Marine Corps sniper in Vietnam and then went into the FBI and DEA where he was very successful in the 70s and 80s. He infiltrated and took down a motorcycle gang of some pretty vicious hombres, killers, who put a big price on his head.
He also operated against South American cartels and organized crime and was able to pull off some major busts.
There came a time when some nitwit in a field office somehow printed out personal information of some undercover agents including my friend. This put him and his family in mortal danger because the bad guys got ahold of it.
I know that some of his comrades found out about it and arranged a meeting with the bad guys and told them in no uncertain terms that if anything bad happened, they’d come after the bad guys – not bust them, but kill them.
Still, my friend had to uproot his family and move them to another part of the country and things were pretty scary.
Anonymous could very well do the same thing – unwittingly exposing one or more federal agents the same way my friend was.
My friend is as fine a man as you’d ever meet and to have him or someone like him have personal information released by some group of Robin Hoods who don’t know what they are doing is sobering to think about.

Raise your hand if you looked for your area code on the list.

    • StoneyCurtisll November 23rd, 2014 at 9:39 am

      (816)..
I know the Klan clowns are active in my area..

        ditto

      • Andrew Clayton November 23rd, 2014 at 12:26 pm

The Klan, aww, proud of the Democrat ancestors 🙂

        • mea_mark November 23rd, 2014 at 12:50 pm

Yeah, they probably are. That is why their conservative butts aren’t allowed in the democratic party anymore.

        • Anomaly 100 November 23rd, 2014 at 1:24 pm

Oh you poor thang. Look through my twitter timeline. The Klan members that tweet me don’t have Democrats following them. There are Tea People in their followers list, though…

  5. StoneyCurtisll November 23rd, 2014 at 9:37 am

The phone numbers can be used to look up names and addresses..(publicly posted)
Then a simple Google Earth search can lead anyone their front door..(also open to the public)
    Disclaimer..
I am in no way suggesting anyone do this..

    • burqa November 23rd, 2014 at 10:04 am

As I suggested below, what you suggest could lead these cretins to the front door of the family of an undercover FBI agent when he’s not home and it’s just his wife and children there to deal with a mob of Klansmen with ill intent.
The FBI has, in the past, infiltrated the Klan to where senior Klansmen were FBI.
The feds can handle them quite well without a bunch of amateur vigilantes gumming up the works and putting lives at risk.

    Let’s get street addresses next!
We need to force these cowardly, racists out of the shadows in order to deal with their hate and bigotry.

    • StoneyCurtisll November 23rd, 2014 at 9:43 am

All ya need is the full phone number..

  8. Budda November 23rd, 2014 at 10:38 am

Just give their phone numbers to telemarketers. That’ll keep them busy for a while.

    • M D Reese November 23rd, 2014 at 11:40 am

Better yet, give them to the right wing robo-callers. I’m STILL getting them, almost a month after the election. I unplugged my phone months ago.

  9. Andrew Clayton November 23rd, 2014 at 12:28 pm

I am so proud of the KKK Democrats, the ones who lead the fight for racism and bigotry across the world!

    • mea_mark November 23rd, 2014 at 12:48 pm

So you are proud of dead people? There aren’t any more democrats that are KKK members, it is pretty much a republican thing now. The conservatives with their white superiority thing and regressive backwards policies have been cleaned out of the democratic party.

I can’t find anything in pending or deleted. If it is still missing Disqus may have accidentally eaten it. It happens sometimes.

            repost disappeared too.

eidt: going to try doing it in sections….

          • mea_mark November 23rd, 2014 at 2:38 pm

They both showed up, don’t understand what happened to first one at all. They went to moderation because ‘guest’ is a filtered word. I think because it keeps guests from posting comments without going through moderation. I am confused on what happened to the first one though, I swear it wasn’t there when I went looking for it earlier.

        • Anomaly 100 November 23rd, 2014 at 3:51 pm

I’m not sure but I don’t see it in the mod queue. I did make sure that you’re whitelisted here, although, sometimes comments will still get caught in the filter from time to time.

          • mea_mark November 23rd, 2014 at 4:10 pm

One of his comments went to limbo land for awhile. It was just not there for about 45 minutes. One of those mysteries of Disqus.

          • Anomaly 100 November 23rd, 2014 at 4:54 pm

The Disqus warlocks are at it again.

  10. Spirit of America November 23rd, 2014 at 2:35 pm

Go ahead and post tongue-in-cheek posts about what’s happening, or even serious endorsements. But you then forfeit the ability to legitimately point out others’ bad behavior when they are targeted at you or your group. With liberty and justice for all… all is the key word; you either believe in it or not. I never believed might makes right, I believe justices for all makes right.
    My view.

Further reading: read burqa’s post further below, it has some good points.

  11. Bunya November 23rd, 2014 at 2:47 pm

I agree with you. Now I’m no KKK sympathizer, but If we allow personal information to be distributed for all to see, the religious haters can use this instance as an excuse to energize their nut job base by passing out personal information on doctors and planned parenthood employees.

    • Spirit of America November 23rd, 2014 at 2:54 pm

      Good example

    • tracey marie November 23rd, 2014 at 3:24 pm

they already do that. They protest in front of the doctors and nurses homes

    • Kick Frenzy November 23rd, 2014 at 3:26 pm

They’re just as dangerous as the KKK.

  12. Kick Frenzy November 23rd, 2014 at 3:25 pm

I believe there’s a big difference between the KK and everyone else involved.
The KKK are the only ones who threatened to kill people and have shown racist fueled hatred in their words.

Let’s ask this… if a group of Americans formed an IS cell in America and threatened to go shoot people who get rowdy, should we just roll over and say “Hey, free speech and all that”?
Would you be supportive of a group that identifies them, but makes no death threats back?

There are a lot of angles to this and while what Anonymous is doing is a slippery slope, we’re not dealing with the Boy Scouts vs the group of kids at the corner store.
I applaud efforts to destroy the KKK, they have no business existing at all; however, despite what I’ve said already, I do have some reservations about how they’re achieving that goal.

    • Spirit of America November 23rd, 2014 at 3:49 pm

Death threats are handled by the police/fbi & such, not an unregulated, multi-national group w/out any oversight/control, by anyone.

And it isn’t a slippery slope, anon has already broke the law. Again, one either believes in the rule of law all the time for everyone, or not. It isn’t a pick & choose cause by that very action you throw justice out the door. And remember, how you feel about the kkk there are others who will think about your group and use your exact same argument.

      • Kick Frenzy November 23rd, 2014 at 4:07 pm

Well, no, there aren’t… at least not with any level of sanity.
None of my groups are threatening to kill the members of the other group(s), while those on that side not only threaten to kill those on my side, but do.

That being said, I agree that breaking the law is breaking the law.
Personally, I find the laws the KKK breaks more egregious than those that Anonymous breaks, but it doesn’t make any of it legal.

I certainly don’t advocate for revealing home addresses or social security numbers.
But shutting down their Twitter/Facebook/Other sites doesn’t really rub me the wrong way.

Does a domestic terrorist deserve equal protection or is it acceptable for a citizen to try to stop their terrorism?
When someone hacks another persons/groups internet account and reveals identities of terrorists for the purpose of saving lives, is that still against the law or does it fall under self-defense?

        • Spirit of America November 23rd, 2014 at 9:16 pm

“Well, no, there aren’t… at least not with any level of sanity.”
I take it you mean the police/fbi.. then my view is jump on them to do their job, not allow an outside, non-regulated force do their thing.

“But shutting down their Twitter/Facebook/Other sites doesn’t really rub me the wrong way.”
What happens if as in someone’s example below, the anti-abortion people shut down pro-abortion accounts say because they have some great IT wing of that group… if the pro-abortion people said “hey, it is cool what anon did to kkk”, should they then want protection against their problem?

“Does a domestic terrorist deserve equal protection…”
Keep in mind, many actual terrorists(deeds being done) get full protection, e.g. many of the capture/trial/sentences already handed out.

Our system works only if it is employed all the time, across the board. It may be this tie it is against a (morally) deserving group, but next time because all didn’t speak against it, it will be done against all eventually.
          (good discussion btw)

          • Kick Frenzy November 23rd, 2014 at 9:34 pm

            (Agreed, good discussion.)

With the “no, there aren’t…sanity” comment, I was talking about how the KKK couldn’t claim the same argument against Anonymous.
As in, Anonymous haven’t threatened violence or death, while the KKK have (and obviously are guilty of murders throughout the past several decades).

The example given is a bad one, as again it’s a group of people (anti-abortion/anti-choice) who are guilty of murdering other people from teh pro-choice side.
But I get the point… what happens when the people on the receiving end are the good guys and the bad guys are destroying their online presence.
And that’s part of what I agree is a dangerous side to all of this.

I think maybe a good answer to the KKK issue is to have a registry like pedophiles have to register on.
Then they have to walk around the neighborhood, “Hello. I’m a member of the KKK and am required by law to let you know there is someone affiliated with a racist hate group, guilty of large amounts of murder, that lives in your neighborhood.”

          • Spirit of America November 23rd, 2014 at 10:40 pm

“I think maybe a good answer to the KKK issue…”
            Interesting idea.

Here it is already growing… and keep in mind, this time some people in cleveland (innocent civilians mind you) were adversely affected because they couldn’t do their business… they either had to wait or do by phone…
            http://www.cleveland.com/metro/index.ssf/2014/11/cleveland_city_website_shutdow.html#incart_m-rpt-1

and this is just after the event, not even a full story line yet, they just jumped the gun….

          • Kick Frenzy November 25th, 2014 at 12:28 am

If this really is Anonymous, I’m disappointed.
(I’ve seen suggestions that this may not really be them, just a couple people using the name.)

I don’t think the officer acted the right way, but I do think the justice system should be given a chance.
You can’t say you’re attacking a broken system when you don’t know if the part you’re attacking is broken yet.

It does seem a bit amateurish for Anonymous… to my untrained eye anyway.

how do you know they are not, racists and killers do make a terrorist

        • Spirit of America November 24th, 2014 at 1:42 pm

oh good lord, now it is ok to hack police & city sites, harming the citizens as well??!! Not to mention how do you know the police dept is either, racist or killers?

          • tracey marie November 24th, 2014 at 1:53 pm

darren was fired with the entire jenning Police dept for…wait for it, violence, racism and corruption.

          • Spirit of America November 24th, 2014 at 3:11 pm

So I guess it can be handled with, wait forrrrr it… the proper route, not vigilante foreign groups denying innocent citizens of services.

But again, that doesn’t in any way mean cleveland pd is, not one bit of evidence yet. And yet they already have been tried and punished, as well as their citizens.

Why have any laws at all?

          • tracey marie November 24th, 2014 at 4:05 pm

            kkk memebers are NOT innocent

          • Spirit of America November 24th, 2014 at 5:47 pm

I see the problem, we’re discussing 2 different things… I asked what happens when they get out of control(anon), then I posted a link showing what they did to the cleveland people(did you visit the link), then I’m discussing anon over stepping their bounds, you think I’m talking about the kkk.

Look at the link, I’m talking about the people of cleveland being denied services cause of what anon just did to their city site.
