    Religious conservatives are always opposed to education. Whether it’s Taliban targeting schools, or the Texas Board of Education gutting science and facts out of its textbooks.

      Ignorant people are easier to control and are quicker to part with their money, look at the success palin has had in raising funds.

    These are people that live hard lives, death is common to them. The West has become, perhaps, too sensitive to the horrors of war. ( Chickenhawks clutch their pearls and head towards their fainting couch.)

    As despicable as the act was I don’t think it will change many minds in Pakistan as far as the fighting goes. They will continue to fight among themselves just as we do here. Our only salvation is the extreme right has been too cowardly to start shooting (so far anyway).

    Ignorance in the populance with a hard line view of theocratic edicts is what this is all about, control. No diffrent then what the right is attempting here, what do you think the moral majority was funded and created for, control and power, it is that simple.
