NRA Kicks Off Its ‘Keepin’ It Country’ Tour In A Gun-Free Zone
The National Rifle Association will be kicking off its “Keepin’ It Country” Tour from one of those gun grabbin’ “Gun-Free Zones” the gun lobby has repeatedly warned us about.
Jeff Foxworthy will be there to make a few jokey jokes at the gun-free event for gun owners. Hey Jeff, the jokes are kind of writing themselves, don’t you think?
Apparently, the people running Bridgestone Arena don’t think a performance space filled with thousands of armed and possibly inebriated people is an awesome idea.
My question to the gun fetishists is: When are you going to raise hell and say that this anti-gun establishment is infringing on your rights? C’mon guys, we’re waiting.
The announcement to freedom lovers reads in part, “The event, which regularly draws more than 70,000 attendees is set at the Music City Center for 2015 and includes acres of the latest products in firearms, accessories, apparel; addresses by national leaders; and a variety of family friendly events all across the city.”
So, 70,000 armed men and women are a danger to those around them? That can’t be!
Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America founder Shannon Watts weighed in on this little turn of events earlier today on Twitter.
She’s LOLing:
But mustaches are allowed. Whew! Jeff Foxworthy and Jon Pardi are featured at the event.
Alan Jackson will be there, too.
Foxworthy can use this year’s convention to inject some “lighthearted humor into the proceedings” because nothing brings the LOLs like celebrating a weapon that is involved in 30,000 American deaths each year, amiright?
Har har hardee har har.
‘Patriots’ with the NRA have obstructed any reasonable discussion this country could have on gun safety.
Some things just aren’t funny.
And it’s always about money, not lives.
I’m so glad these ‘patriots’ will be safe from their own weapons during the event. We all remember how well Gun Appreciation Day went down.
Big thanks to my pal who shall remain anonymous because some of these people are just crazy. [su_csky_ad]

I wonder if a gun exchange for viagra would have an effect on gun ownership. Is viagra a title sponsor of this orgy of patriotism?

Logical:
Liberals are delighted all those NRA types will all get together and shoot each other.
Not Logical:
Liberals are upset that NRA types might shoot each other.

Sorry to ruin your manufactured narrative but it seems to me there’s only one side who spends their time screaming in anger and outrage while proposing 2nd amendment “solutions”. — If you all kill yourselves we will be saddened but will chalk it up to #PersonalResponsibility.
What the article is quite clearly states is how ironic it is that the NRA remains pretty consistent in renting Gun-Free facilities for their multi-million dollar PR events.
Hypocrisy thy name is Teapublican.

Why do we keep calling Jeff Foxworthy a comedian?!?! Since when has he ever said anything funny…EVER?

I recall a funny routine on TV back in around 1998 making fun of rednecks. Can’t name a single instance since then though.

They really should have let them have their guns there. I would love to hear the reports after of how many went off by accident. how many wounded ect.
