According to ex-cop and blogger John Cardillo, “a coalition of NYPD cops, Detectives, and supervisors hundreds strong” are behind it.  Ashley Chalmers of Jersey Shore Aerial Advertising says those who paid for this “wish to remain anonymous.”

[su_center_ad]

[su_thin_right_skyscraper_ad]”We are outraged by the mayor’s incendiary rhetoric, and for facilitating the current hostile climate towards the NYPD. We understand that the department and even our own unions can only go so far in their public condemnation of the mayor as to not irreparably damage the working relationship with the city, or future contract negotiations,” the statement read.

“It is our opinion that Mayor de Blasio’s dangerous and irresponsible comments about his and his wife’s concern for their son’s safety at the hands of the NYPD fueled the flames that led to civil unrest, and potentially to the deaths of PO Wenjian Liu and PO Rafael Ramos, as well as the continued threats against NYPD personnel. The Mayor shows us no respect, and encourages the public to follow his lead.”

The back-turning reference is a reminder of how cops gave de Blasio the cold shoulder when he visited the hospital where the executed officers were taken.

Like Lynch didn’t make a big enough impression on the public that they were a collection of louts and Nazi wannabes

  3. tiredoftea December 26th, 2014 at 3:47 pm

No, let’s keep being a military mode police department because we are better armed and might makes right.

  4. whatthe46 December 26th, 2014 at 4:04 pm

this is exactly what’s wrong with this and all police departments. they have no sense of duty to be honest about a damn thing. they know there are racist, rogue and mentally unstable cops on the force and those who know, turn a blind eye. this man, this mayor, this father, first, was honest about his fear for his own son and he’s suppose to be apologetic for it. NO. he’s not playing by the rules and this is a no go for them. tooooo damn bad. unarmed citizens are being murdered and they are more upset about hurt feelings.

    • granpa.usthai December 26th, 2014 at 8:16 pm

I would say you are correct in MOST of your assessments. Many LE agents do ‘feel’ like it’s them against those they are come out of. There is a strong unison of ‘family’ – ‘brotherhood’ – ‘gang’ – ‘battleground’ mode.

I especially agree with you that it is up to the Officers themselves to route out the white racist that have made themselves more known since the people of the USA have elected and reelected a very bright, capable and EXCELLENT Maui tanned Hawaiian as our POTUS. – As also our Military is duty bound to do. This whole thing of ours is to be shared EQUALLY – not just by the select few white republican fascist. Police Officials also take an oath of allegiance. The white racist hiding behind badges and uniforms are already in violation of those oaths.
Either they clean their own rooms, or the owners of the house will have it cleaned.

For at least the 2nd time a make shift memorial for Mike Brown was driven through in Furguson, the pd spokesperson called the memorial “a pile of trash”. Can you imagine the outrage if this happened to a memorial for the NY Leo’s.

    • granpa.usthai December 26th, 2014 at 8:02 pm

probably no more than if a church leader who spoke out for the Officer’s slain were to be torched. After all, we do have freedom of religion in AmeriKa, and the scriptures do make many a reference to fire as being a purifier and ‘righteous’ judgement.

  6. MIAtheistGal December 26th, 2014 at 4:08 pm

Go ahead, turn your backs to the mayor, but for Thor’s sake, stop killing unarmed people!

    • granpa.usthai December 26th, 2014 at 7:56 pm

all <2.9% (max) that publicly support not backing the Mayor? -are you Krazy? Do you not know what kind of effect 97.1%?
I say nay. The Mayor with the not pure white Aryan kid must step down! He must resign in shame and humiliation. Forever disgraced. NYC must become a stain and a blot on the face of AmeriKa. All future maps and current cyber maps must show NYC as a stain and a blot. No one who is concerned about their less than pure Aryan white child should ever again be allowed to be the Mayor. 97.1%. If they ain’t pure Aryan white, they only count as 1/100,000th of a ‘real’ Officer anyway. (never enough to out vote the mighty < 2.9% .

      velkome 2 AmeriKA 2015!!!

Wonder how the officers in Delray Beach Police Department feel about this guy….

i’m a little torn by that story (your link). sad that he was murdered by his own father, however, this guy wanted to become a cop and he idolized them to the point where he had a photo of a cop shooting someone point blank as if that’s normal. just imagine what kind of cop he would likely to have become. sorta reminds me of the movie “wanted” where their mission was to kill the bad guy before he could kill. or like the movie “minority report.” scary to think what he would have become.

    • granpa.usthai December 26th, 2014 at 7:38 pm

      probable domestic dispute.

if the son knew his dad was a LE Officer but continued to act in a hostile manner to the point that the Officer felt he may have been in danger, is he not within his rights to defend himself with LETHAL FORCE?

Shame though. Before, Florida could have had a choice between this kid or the sorry sack of lying gz to represent them on the street as the figure of authority.

fair to say that sometimes even LE doesn’t always wind up with the best of the best?

  8. Jake December 26th, 2014 at 4:22 pm

Yeah right- they will turn their backs on our mayor because his wife is black – but lets see them turn their backs on their bloated pensions.

  9. mea_mark December 26th, 2014 at 4:23 pm

    NYPD, arrogantly classless.

    • whatthe46 December 26th, 2014 at 4:38 pm

its really sad that they don’t think unarmed citizens murdered at their hands matters not.

      • greenfloyd December 26th, 2014 at 11:44 pm

One of the reforms the Black Cacus is talking about are laws requiring all police departments to report all violent encounters with the public and all deaths in cusotody.

  10. Carla Akins December 26th, 2014 at 4:53 pm

I would hazard to guess that none of the “coalition of NYPD cops, Detectives, and supervisors” is the parent of a black son.

  11. Bill December 26th, 2014 at 4:55 pm

This is free speech and must be supported, please crowd source a similar banner “F the police”

  12. neworleans878 December 26th, 2014 at 5:01 pm

Arrogant little whiny babies who feel entitled to privileges over and above the rest of us.

Are New Yorkers really going to let 34,000 PUBLIC servants dictate who the mayor who’s elected by the people?

ps…RW media money hate machine…why don’t you back THE F*CK OFF and quit inflaming passions for ratings and your wallets?

edited to put asterisk in f*ck so my comment might pass moderation…

    opps..never mind. It just passed.

    • granpa.usthai December 26th, 2014 at 7:27 pm

a coalition of ‘hundreds’ strong is a bit less than 34,000. Even @ 999 strong, it’d be about 2.9% (that would actually claim to be speaking out).

while 2.9% may be considered a ‘landslide’ by fascist mathematics, it’s still not enough to claim the White House [ref: Mitt Romney 2012].

  13. Alan December 26th, 2014 at 5:46 pm

I’ll be on Fox News discussing this at 9PM

    • whatthe46 December 26th, 2014 at 5:56 pm

      that’s good to know.

    • StoneyCurtisll December 26th, 2014 at 6:23 pm

      Thats a shame..
I dont watch Fox ‘news’ under any circumstance.
Good luck and try not to allow them to make you out to be the bad guy, (I’m sure they will try.)

Edit, I might make an exception tonight~!

      • Alan December 26th, 2014 at 7:56 pm

It would be nice to have you watch rather than just decide you won’t watch an entire channel because you disagree with what some people say.

        • whatthe46 December 26th, 2014 at 8:53 pm

i too never watch. can’t stomach it. however, i want to see what you have under your belt so i will. i’ll have to watch it on my net because my cable is OUT. i can’t watch those shows because i can’t afford a new t.v. if i could afford a new t.v. i would throw a shoe at it. what did your parents always say, shouting at the t.v. will do no good, they can’t hear you. the shoe would surely make me feel good, if only for a moment.

        Betting that’s eastern time.

        • Blogvader December 26th, 2014 at 7:52 pm

It is rather horrifying that the police union’s response to a call for justice is to effectively declare war on city hall.

Wouldn’t it just be easier to not kill unarmed people?

          • whatthe46 December 26th, 2014 at 8:47 pm

“call for justice?” for who? certainly not the murdered victims at the hands of the police. and “Wouldn’t it just be easier to not kill unarmed people?” apparently that’s asking too much from the powers that be. or comprehend that all of these black children and men were loved as well by their families.

        • whatthe46 December 26th, 2014 at 8:43 pm

          thanks to you too.

      “Look! Another angry liberal!”

You’re a better man than I am, Alan.

After years of seeing the NYCPD doing despicable things to protestors,Stop and frisk and many other criminal and civil violations, I have little sympathy for them..

My heart does go out to those families who are left behind after their husbands have been murdered in the line of duty.

yeah i just read that. crazy. if the guy decides to sue, don’t think he’ll get much of anything.

  16. greenfloyd December 26th, 2014 at 11:11 pm

Saw this on national news tonight, first impression was “That takes the cake, that’s not going to help anything!” Then to learn it was paid for by “hundreds” of anonymous police union supporters further ruffled my muffins… Nothing, it seems, will deter these guys from continuing to poison what little remains within the well of goodwill between them and Mayor de Blasio and his 8.4 million constituents.

Regardless this sorted and ill-timed act by the union, thousands of New Yorkers continue to file pass the now very large make-shift memorial for the slain officers and show their support for the vast majority of good police who work their streets. And even though there have been some reports of equally inappropriate, yet very small, anti-cop protests at the sight, it pales in comparison to the NYPD union’s banner in the sky!

Too far? I hope so, but have my doubts we’ve seen the last of this ugly battle.
