Drives 15 Hours To Shoot Girlfriend’s Parents On Christmas
[su_right_ad]Preston Pollard allegedly drove from Venus, Texas to Marion County, Florida to shoot the parents of his girlfriend. Her father was shot to death and her step mother was critically wounded.
“[Mary Lou Hutson] was shot and then he went to the next parent, Richard Hutson, and shot him,” Marion County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Lauren Lettelier told WFAA (video below).
Pollard left the Hutson’s home, was pursued by police and turned his gun on himself.
“I know my son and that’s not him, he was not a mean person,” Pollard’s father Stephen told WFAA on Saturday…
According to Stephen, his son didn’t own a gun.
“Why would he drive all that way to go kill somebody? He was driving that way to go see his girlfriend,” said Stephen.

Not really. Don’t have to own a gun to shoot people with it. Just look at how many guns are stolen each year.
But, I will freely admit, from the standpoint of the victim, who does or doesn’t own the gun is less important than the fact that somebody shot you.

Which is why gun control is pointless. What’s needed is a 500% tax on all ammunition and powder sales, no ammunition sales at gun shows, and mandatory annual inspections and licensing of home loaders.

My crazy RW uncle claimed the low gas prices are pissing off liberals because people will now go out on longer drives and no one will try to quit using gas (and use electric vehicles) if its cheap. I told him he needs to make some friends and stop watching faux news so much.

No, I am completely serious. He has been living off my grandparents for decades. He used to roof and do carpentry but hurt his back carrying shingles up the ladder so he has taken off for decades living off the government. So many of us talk about how pathetic he is, he can be a good person but he chooses not to be one. People have tried to point out his hypocrisy to him but he is an angry person (of course) and it never ends well. He hates women and anyone darker than neon white but he won’t say it, his action however scream it.

I’m sure he had his loaded firearm on the seat right next to him, reminding him as to why he’s travelling to Florida in the first place. Otherwise, he may have gotten as far as Alabama and forgotten why he was going in the first place (out of sight, out of mind).
That’s why it’s important to have a lethal weapon right next to you in the car when driving. You can be ready to take action the minute someone cuts you off in traffic.
