While promoting his new book, God, Guns, Grits and Gravy, Mike Huckabee said in an interview with PEOPLE that he doesn’t approve of the Obama’s allowing their children to listen to Beyoncé. “I don’t understand how on one hand they can be such doting parents and so careful about the intake of everything – how much…

What does this fat old theocratic bully think will come of his once again criticizing the Obama’s and dragging their kids into the criticism?
neworleans878 January 13th, 2015 at 9:56 pm
Endearment to the debased teaparty base…
tracey marie January 13th, 2015 at 9:59 pm
I do believe many of those in his base do not agree with attacking the children…hell even in Texas they do not stand for it
whatthe46 January 14th, 2015 at 12:35 am
did he talk about any of the bush’s daughters. the drunks and the druggies?
tracey marie January 14th, 2015 at 12:50 pm
Never, those were upstanding bush girls
jasperjava January 14th, 2015 at 1:42 am
That only applies if the kids are white.
tracey marie January 14th, 2015 at 12:48 pm
I really do believe some do not like these attacks on the children, i am talking about gop not the racist teabaggs
edmeyer_able January 13th, 2015 at 9:40 pm
Well ya know the right is going to go in only one direction with this story so I wouldn’t mention it.
neworleans878 January 13th, 2015 at 9:55 pm
So that’s where Obama was on July 11, 1998…encouraging young men to torture and kill that dog!
Still want to know his where he was on March 15, 44BC.

How does this bloated bag of sh*t have the audacity to say a single word about how the President and first lady raise their kids, when one considers what his sick, twisted ,doughboy brat did.

Mike Huckabee wonders: I don’t understand how on one hand they can be such doting parents and so careful about the intake of everything – how much broccoli they eat…
Yes, let’s talk about childhood obesity, Huck.
Although the Pillsbury Doughboy works in the nude, I’m pretty sure that if he wore clothes, this is how he would dress.
Larry Schmitt January 14th, 2015 at 9:34 am
But Michelle trying to get kids to eat healthy is the Food Police. They can’t take away our freedom to eat as much crap as we want, and get fat and sit on the front porch all day.
William January 14th, 2015 at 11:23 am
Perhaps I’m just unchristian like. Perhaps I have an unforgiving streak, but the sooner a person who tortures animals eats themselves into the afterlife, the better.
William January 14th, 2015 at 11:20 am
Clearly Huckabees kids have some series issues. Issues that go way beyond self control. I’m not sure what I find more revolting. A person torturing an animal, or Huckabee interceding to prevent justice.
These vile disgusting excuses for humans will always consider themselves righteous, no matter how repugnant their actions as long as they hide behind their Bibles, and phony patriotism
m2old4bs January 13th, 2015 at 11:59 pm
Another fine example of Huckabee’s classiness, or should I say lack of moral essence. I’ll take Obama over this douche any day, any time, anywhere and on any point.
Spirit of America January 14th, 2015 at 12:01 am
By all accounts, print and talk in dc, potus’s kids are just fine. I don’t know Beyoncé from Bouncing, but it doesn’t seem to have had a neg effect yet.
whatthe46 January 14th, 2015 at 12:04 am
“yet” why would it have any negative effect?
Spirit of America January 14th, 2015 at 12:15 am
Wasn’t meant that way, I meant it as ‘seems like no harm yet, so why complain?’ meaning.
Like I said, I don’t her or what she does, so I wouldn’t even try to suppose if it ever would be bad. She could be the next best thing since sliced bread and just not liked by him as far as I know.
whatthe46 January 14th, 2015 at 12:33 am
well, if you don’t know her or anything about her, the use of the word “yet” is inappropriate don’t you think? she and her husband are artist “singers” filty rich, “black” and she owns her own island. i would think that’s a big reason he doesn’t like her. we know he doesn’t like the president because he’s black and smart. and the president!
Spirit of America January 14th, 2015 at 12:42 am
Oh good lord, yet is used many ways AND I explained it… where I come from, the phrase:
“It hasn’t done any harm yet”
is often said and meant to convey ‘seems like no harm will come of it cause it hasn’t yet’.
And just how do you know he doesn’t like the pres cause he’s black? Doing just a quick search, I couldn’t find any quotes that would indicate that.
Not to mention, you really think he doesn’t like a singer cause she owns an island???!!! LOL!!!
whatthe46 January 14th, 2015 at 1:24 am
if you don’t think he doesn’t dislike the president because he’s black, then you choose to be ignorant. and he, in my opinion doesn’t like her or her husband because, they are very successfull and yes black and that success has earned her the ability to afford an island. straight up jealously.
Spirit of America January 14th, 2015 at 1:35 am
wow.
I tell you what… you keep pretending to be a mind reader and know what everyone thinks(you didn’t use 1 quote even pointing to racism on his part) and I’ll just keep it as a “I don’t know the guy well enough to say he’s racist” and we’ll part ways.
whatthe46 January 14th, 2015 at 2:26 am
to all that you just said… WOW!

baptist pulpit punks is infamous about being jealous. Specially when it comes to $$$ winnings.
Bet Beyonce pays more tax than him.
ChrisVosburg January 14th, 2015 at 9:24 am
As soon as he criticizes the parenting skills of, say, Billy Ray Cyrus, you’ll have a point. Until then, yeah, it does look like he reserves criticism for those not of his color.
In the same book, as pointed out a few days ago here, he called Beyonce’s husband a pimp. Classy.
Spirit of America January 14th, 2015 at 9:56 am
Had to look up Billy Ray Cyrus and found out that he has the kid Miley.
Do a lex/nex search using all 3 names, you’ll find he uses terms for the kid such as pornographic and disgusting as well as refrences to needing better ‘parenting’ & “guidance from the adults in her life”
So no, it does not look like he reserves criticisms for only those not of his color.
ChrisVosburg January 14th, 2015 at 10:20 am
Can’t do a lex-nex search because I’m not a subscriber. I’m aware of Huck having described Miley’s act as disgusting and pornographic and “better suited to a stripper pole” (how does Huck know about stripper poles?).
A google of the three terms (“Mike Huckabee” “Miley Cyrus” “Billy Ray Cyrus”) does not turn up anything like criticism of Billy Ray by Huck.
Perhaps you’d be kind enough to specify where it can be found, and link to it.
whatthe46 January 14th, 2015 at 12:03 am
this obese fk is seriously out of line! the right is going to end up purchasing all the shovels at the home depot. who in the hell is he to attack their parenting skills? someone should have been attacking his parents parenting skills.

Don’t listen to Beyonce, Huck? Have you ever READ the bible? Filled with sex and wanton violence. Slaughter of every man, woman, child, and animal. Killing of your children, your neighbors, un-believers. Adultery. Betrayal. Fratricide. Suicide.
Yeah, for teenagers, Beyonce is SO much more of a negative influence. Just think of all the millions of people killed in Beyonce’s name.

Don’t forget slavery. Not only is it condoned, so is begetting children by your female slaves.

A self-described feminist, tremendously successful, in a long standing committed relationship. She has a strong sense of family and runs her own charity and supports 29 others. She sings of love, relationships and heartbreak. She occasionally does some risque songs but overwhelmingly she sings about women expecting and demanding respect and empowerment. Sounds like listening to Bey is a damn good idea to me. Supporting your daughter’s choice to listen to Beyonce – even better.
AmusedAmused January 14th, 2015 at 6:55 am
Jaroslav Hasek wrote (in 1921) what I consider to be one of the best comments about proper upbringing: “A truly well-bred person can read anything.” (He was talking about profanity and risqué subject matter in fiction, but his point is applicable to any artistic medium.)
To go on a slight tangent, there is a whole discussion there about hypocrisy and what “good” fiction ought and ought not convey — too long to include in a mere comment. Suffice it to say, it’s a shame American readers are unfamiliar with Hasek, American liberals — doubly so. Go read “The Good Soldier Svejk” right now. It’s basically Wonkette in the form of a novel about WW1; and it’s scary how much the Austrian society he describes resembles our own in the past 15 years or so. Go read it. You’ll thank me.

I’d be more concerned about letting children watch Fox “News” and all those females wearing low cut, skimpy dresses. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to buy the Obama girls something morally acceptable, like a fully loaded semi-automatic shotgun.
