Gavin Seim, one of the organizers of a December rally to protest a new expanded gun background check law was arrested Thursday for allegedly interfering with a Douglas County Court proceeding, and we are so surprised.

If you're in Congress, you are a politician.

If you’re in Congress, you are a politician.

KOMO News reports:

..Seim is accused of yelling at a judge and walking toward the bench during a Thursday hearing. When the judge ordered the 29-year-old to leave the court, Seim refused, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

He would ‘not comply’ so he was arrested. See how that works?

Deputies tried to escort Seim out of the building, so naturally, he resisted and tried to pull away, according to the sheriff’s office.

Seim, an Ephrata resident and self proclaimed “liberty speaker,” was at the courthouse with 10-15 others to support 19-year-old Tavis T. Shasteen. Shasteen was arrested in November when he refused to show deputies his driver’s license after being pulled over for speeding, according to the sheriff’s office.

Again, we have that ‘will not comply’ thingy.

Douglass County Sheriff Harvey Gjesdal said Seim got upset when the judge would not allow him to represent Shasteen in court, despite not being an attorney.

After Seim was arrested, several other supporters “began coming to the front of the courtroom apparently in an effort to interfere with the arrest,” Gjesdal said.

“The Sheriff and two Deputies had to physically hold them back as they pressed to within a few feet of the front of the courtroom. They also tried to block the arresting Deputies as they attempted to leave the courtroom,” the sheriff’s office said in a press release on Thursday.

Gavin Seim’s 59-year-old father, Grant Seim, was one of Shasteen’s supporters. The sheriff’s office said the elder Seim sat on the floor, refused to leave and told deputies he wanted to be arrested, which he soon was.

Gavin Seim is the gun fetishist who “believes it’s past time for government to get their filthy hands of (sic) our faith, our families and our freedom,” according to his website.

I see a pattern here.

I wonder why that is. Oh lookie:

The thing is, they can arrest these guys, take all their known guns, but as soon as they are released they will get access to others and plan to use them. It’s high time to view this type of ‘sovereign citizen’ as a threat, a terrorist and keep them in a secure place away from the rest of us.

As much as incarceration sounds like a solution I don’t want to waste tax dollars on their butts. I’d sooner see them fined and stripped of citizenship and deported if we could find a place to take them, maybe make some sort of deal w/China or Russia.

I’m thinking a minimum security prison in Barrow Alaska could be inexpensive. Minimum security in the sense of protecting the inmates from bears.

I believe the “secure place away from the rest of us” is called jail.

The Ross Ice Shelf would work; for a time. And if a few go missing during the evacuations as it melts… oops.

Whatever happened to pornography, in private, for fetishists? Must everyone’s mental illnesses be acted out in public?
