Teen Posed As Doctor For Month In Hospital With No One Noticing

[su_right_ad]West Palm Beach police finally busted the teen who walked around St. Mary’s Hospital as a doctor wearing a white lab coat.

Police said they got a call on Jan. 13 about a juvenile walking around in a white doctor’s lab coat and carrying a stethoscope who was telling people he was a doctor.

The juvenile’s age is redacted from the incident report. Police and hospital staff agreed to not charge him with a crime.

Staff at the medical center’s OB/GYN office was alerted by a patient that a young male who “appeared to be a child” was dressed as a doctor and was inside an exam room. The patient said he had a lab coat with the St. Mary’s logo and “anesthesiology” stitched on the front, according to the incident report…

When interviewed by police, the teen told them that he has been a doctor for “years,” and that his family could vouch for him…

The boy’s mother told police he is under the care of a doctor for an undisclosed illness but refuses to take medicine, according to the report.
