Five-Year-Old Fatally Shoots 9-Month-Old Baby Brother In The Head
The Elmo, MO infant is the latest toddler victimized by an “accidental shooting.” Anomaly picked up the story.
According to the Nodaway County Sheriff’s Office, the nine-month-old baby boy was shot shortly before 9:00 a.m. on Monday by his five-year-old brother at their residence, just south of the Iowa border, Fox4kc reports.
The Nodaway County Sheriff’s Office said the mother of the two children told them that her 5-year-old son shot her infant in the head with a paintball gun.
An ambulance and law enforcement officials were dispatched to
the house and they determined the baby had been shot in the head with a .22 caliber magnum revolver…
Question: Isn’t it a tad bit suspicious that the mother of the children claimed her baby was shot by a paintball gun? I’m always suspicious of any parent that allows their child to have access to a gun.
I’m just asking questions here.
That baby met a violent death which could have easily been avoided. The 5-year-old boy will have to live with this for the rest of his life.[su_center_ad]

When do they start charging the adults in these cases? This was not another “tragic accident,” which I’m sure we will hear more than once in follow ups to this. This was criminal negligence. Remember this the next time someone objects to questions about whether there are weapons in the house.

Lets all stop putting the lipstick on the pig, playing make believe, and using that stupid oxymoron Responsible Gun Owner.

I am a responsible gun owner, I have 3 firearms, all are locked up and secured. I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old. They couldn’t gain access to my guns if they tried all day and night. But if someone breaks into my house in the middle of the night with ill intentions I can protect them. Just because you say its an oxymoron doesn’t make it so. And considering there are millions of gun owners and only handful of these cases, that would suggest the overwhelming majority of gun owners are responsible.
I do believe in cases like this, the parents should be charged with no less than manslaughter, and maybe as much as second degree murder. But quit trying to use these morons as a reflection on the rest of us.

Bravo. I don’t own guns, have no interest in them, but stupid people like this are no more representative of all gun owners than drunk drivers are representative of all drivers.

” There is no such thing as a “responsible” gun owner; there are only human guns owners. And any human can at times be responsible or irresponsible, careful or careless, calm or angry, sober or drunk.
To assume that there is such a thing as a human who is responsible 100 percent of the time is just a foolish myth.

Mother should be prosecuted for felony child endangement. No responsible gun owner stores a weapon where a child can access it. She’s an idiot.
