You are wrong on this…only one women is sueing him the rest are coming out because only now are they being taken seriously. Your comment suggests that in 1969 rape accusations were investigated and women where not held up as being responsible for what happened. Hell you just did it now, you implied they are after something besides truth.

Women have been called liars and worse, shamed and harrassed by men and some women because of a patriarchal mindset and a fear of human sexuality. When someone says “why now” they really have no grasp pf how horrible rape is.

What would they have to gain? The statute has run out, and there is precisely zero evidence in existence, so a civil suit is a remote fantasy.
