Alabama’s Chief Justice Urges Governor To Defy Ruling Overturning Same-Sex Marriage Ban
[su_right_ad]Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore wants Governor Robert Bentley, who is also against marriage equality, to break the law.
In a letter today…to Gov. Robert Bentley, a staunch supporter of the marriage ban, Moore cites a passage from the Gospel of Mark and notes that “the laws of this state have always recognized the biblical admonition stated by our Lord” regarding marriage. He urged the governor to “stop judicial tyranny” and essentially ignore the court’s decision.
It comes as no surprise that Moore, who founded a Religious Right group called the Foundation for Moral Law, has taken such a dogmatic stance on gay rights. Moore has gone so far as to claim that marriage equality is a Satanic plot to destroy America and likened homosexuality to bestiality.
Moore previously admonished “oppressive” judges who rule in favor of marriage equality for “warping the law,” arguing that a constitutional convention may be necessary to add an amendment banning same-sex marriage to the U.S. Constitution.

Oh great, the judge who placed the ten commandments at the state house, lost case and had to remove them, wants another losing jeremiad on his hands? Did he graduate from high school, much less college and law school?

Conservative majority SCOTUS mandating equal marriage throughout the USA, further proves Roy Moore’s 10th, 14th Amendments & Articles constitutionally illiteracy. The Constitutions few pages are far too many words for Alabama inbreds to comprehend.

Do we have to bring in federal troops into Alabama to enforce the rule of law once again?
Doug Diederich January 28th, 2015 at 1:10 am
Only if we send in troops to Colorado and Washington to enforce federal rule of marijuana laws. I understand the the majority can not push it’s will on the minority. It does to me raise the question of… “How far can the Federal Government impose it’s will on a State’s majority? I’m neither anti-gay or anti- marijuana. I would vote for both in my state if it came to a popular vote. To me this sounds more like politicians try to garner votes.

Why this fool hasn’t been disbarred has me wondering.
He only believes in those parts of Constitutional principles that align with his own views, and not only ignores the rest but calls for their violation.

He’s a star actually. Google him and you will discover he wrote the personhood language for fetuses in an attempt to overturn abortion…it passed in N Dakota…he’s no joke, and a dangerous MoFo.

Didn’t his oath of office have something in it about supporting the constitution?? Not just the parts he likes?

I seen an interview last night on Chris Hayes (MSNBC) with the Alabama state rep Patricia Todd who came out against the righties who claim to be all about family values as they have been known to be cheating on their spouses. Rep. Todd claimed Alabama is the most Christian state, and yet they are fourth in the country for divorce. Obvious hypocrites and the numbers prove it.

Keep an eye on this guy, he is the architect of the nationwide personhood thesis being used to try and overturn abortion
