David Lane Recruiting 1000 Pastors To Run For Office
[su_right_ad]Lane says “this is our…appointed time of God.”
“Nobody’s confused that politicians are going to save America,” Lane said. “But what they’ve done, in [1963] when they took the Bible and prayer from public schools, they removed the sword of the spirit. Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. The principle part of knowledge is the fear of the Lord. They removed it. The transmission agent of wisdom – the Word – they removed from public school. Men and women of Issachar who know the times and know what to do have to engage the culture. This is where we are. This is our kairos: appointed time of God.”

“this is our…appointed time of God.” Has anyone cleared this with god? Does he really want these charlatans to represent him?
Roctuna January 27th, 2015 at 4:04 pm
Should be able to contact any of the well known god-speakers (Cruz, Santorum, Huckajesus, Bachmann) for confirmation of that claim.
Dwendt44 January 27th, 2015 at 6:27 pm
You are assuming that they are all talking to the same imaginary god, right?
fancypants January 28th, 2015 at 3:02 am
he would be the first since moses if god were to answer ?

Pastors, priests, rabbis etc. should not be allowed to hold public office, after all, where is their first allegiance? Their god or the Constitution?
Mike January 27th, 2015 at 2:59 pm
Good point…the Supremacy Clause forces them to renounce their Bible and accept the Constitution as superior…might be cause for a bit of cognitive dissonance…

Kennedy caught hell just because he was a Catholic, he was accused of having his first loyalty to the Pope.

Seems to me that there bible thingie doesn’t like it either:
Matthew 6:24 – No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
Dwendt44 January 27th, 2015 at 6:25 pm
Since when have christians done what the bible says?
bpollen January 28th, 2015 at 2:46 am

Hell yea, cuz running the greatest country in the world is no different than preaching to a bunch of TBilly’s…
Maxx44 January 27th, 2015 at 3:24 pm
Change a couple of words and this sounds like the rant of an Islamic extremist.
Roctuna January 27th, 2015 at 4:02 pm
Key word being extremist. This guy is spouting pure dominionist dogma with a goal of a repressive theocracy.
tiredoftea January 27th, 2015 at 8:23 pm
Even without the beards and robes there’s no difference.

The adherents of Christian Dominionism are on the march toward a theocratic state.

The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; pride and arrogancy, and the evil way and the froward mouth – which eliminates most ‘pastors’ whose ‘calling’ is to ‘preach’ the Gospels.
