    Abbot said “Well, the shootout occurred when we don’t have open carry. So obviously the current laws didn’t stop anything like that.” The illogic of that sentence is appalling. Current laws don”t totally stop all kinds of crime. I guess we’ll be repealing all the criminal statutes in Texas soon. The tea is insane.

    Just preparing for Jade Helm….more armed crazeees roaming the streets and roads in Texas, just what is needed….maybe they can shoot the rain, the floods, and other actual hazards threatening their fair state.

    Texas was one of the few states that did not allow open carry, now it is one of the few states that requires a permit to do so. I’m not happy about this law – but y’all have plenty of other states you can denigrate on this issue.

      Poor Texas, it has decided to jump in the pool of states allowed to carry with permit, don’t worry, my state, Missouri will catch ya, although we hang out at the kooky deep end, we are the Michael Phelps, Mark Spitz, Johnny Weissmuller rolled into one of a gun crazy state.
