Straight Couple Threatens Divorce If Gay Marriage Becomes Legal

It’s in Australia, but what Nick and Sarah Jensen are considering is still ridiculous.
Simply put, the happily married couple is threatening to divorce if Australia passes any same-sex legislation later this year:
Jensen told Fairfax Media that he and his wife entered into their marriage “as a fundamental order of creation, part of God’s intimate story for human history, man and woman, for the sake of children, faithful and for life”.
“And so, if later on in the year the state does go ahead and changes the definition of marriage and changes the terms of that contract then we can no longer partake in that new definition unfortunately,” he said.

Please enlighten us how they would be hurting anyone but themselves. Probably in the same way that allowing gays to marry each other hurts them. Just a couple of infants who need attention. Maybe their diapers need changing.

The way I see it, their plan will simply confirm the common sense of marriage equality.
e.g. whatever they do about being married or not being married is entirely up to the two people involved.

well, neither do I, but I do have a few invisible protective wear against fundamental order of creation disruptions if you’re interested? They’re guaranteed forever and folks won’t even know you’re wearing it!!!

Call their bluff. As it is, they got married with permission of the government, and if they divorce, it’ll be with the knowledge and permission of the government. What their imaginary deity thinks is not relevant.
