Yanilca Ortiz-Burgos, 37, stabbed her boyfriend in the stomach with a knife in the presence of three children when he refused to have sex with her, according to Volusia County police.
Jose Vega-Hernandez told police that his girlfriend had been drinking all night and came into his bedroom looking to have sex with him. Ortiz-Burgos was arrested and charged with child abuse and aggravated battery on a person with a deadly weapon.
Vega-Hernandez told the News-Journal Online that he would not be pressing charges, but he hopes that Ortiz-Burgos gets help.
“One thing is certain,” Vega-Hernandez said, “the relationship is over.”
