He was arrested for leaving signs near a Colorado Springs church that police found offensive.

Vincent Broughton, 44, has been charged with committing a bias-motivated crime, disorderly conduct, littering and harassment.

One of the signs makes a reference to the KKK, while another sign reads, “Black men beware, you are the target,” according to CBS Denver…

Broughton told several local news outlets that he was the person behind the signs.

“I want people to know how corrupt these people that run the town are: the police department, city, council and people in the community,” Broughton said to KRDO.

“I didn’t mean … to threaten anybody,” he told KKTV. “It’s just to let people know that there are … racist people in our community who are out there to destroy the unity of America.”
