2:42pmEDT: CNN, citing sources in the Chattanooga mayor’s office, reported on air that a shooter and three others are dead following an incident at the Naval Marine Reserve Center; in addition, one person is in critical condition, a police officer who was shot in the leg is in surgery, and one other person was wounded and released.

One officer is “down” in connection with the shootings, Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke told reporters. He was not specific about the officer’s condition.
The U.S. Navy tweeted Thursday that a shooting happened at a Navy Reserve center on Amnicola Highway in Chattanooga, and witnesses said they saw a shooting outside a separate location — a building on Lee Highway that houses military recruiting offices.
By 1:15 p.m., the “active shooter situation” was over, police tweeted.
Both MSNBC and CNN report that the shooter is deceased and the police officer was shot in the leg and in surgery.

There are reports of several shootings in the city.
