Mother Lived With Daughter’s Dead Body For 3 Months

Were it not for a visiting friend. who knows how long this would have gone on.
An acquaintance visited 28-year-old Christina Colantonio at her apartment in Batavia, New York, and noticed that Colantonio’s baby daughter was dead.
Colantonio has since been charged with the baby’s murder and prosecutors say she lived with the child’s body for three months. She has two other children, but lived alone in the apartment, NY Daily News reported. No calls were made about any suspicious activity at the apartment at the time of the baby’s death, Syracuse.com reported.
Investigators said they believe the baby was killed shortly after birth, three months ago. Although they won’t say how the child died, Genesee County District Attorney Lawrence Friedman said, “They have enough evidence to come to a conclusion it was intentionally caused.”
The investigation is ongoing.
