Professor Fatally Shot

A professor was fatally shot on the Delta State campus.
Bolivar County Coroner Dr. Nate Brown said the professor was shot, but could not give any further information at this time.
The Delta Democrat Times is reporting the professor’s name as Ethan Schmidt, but the Cleveland Police Department will not confirm.
Cleveland Police Department confirmed the victim was taken by ambulance, and the suspect is on the loose.
