The husband, whose name has not yet been released to the public, told police that he heard noises coming from the front of the house. He also reported hearing voices once he got into the hallway and seeing a flash of light. He allegedly thought an intruder was inside the house, so he got a shotgun and fired one round. It wasn’t until it was too late that he realized this person was his wife, the man reportedly told police.
