Former House Speaker Denny Hastert could get up to six months in jail after pleading guilty to lying to the FBI.

Hastert, 73, pleaded guilty Wednesday to lying to the FBI in a hush-money scheme. In exchange for his guilty plea, prosecutors recommended he serve less than six months in prison.

However, the judge will ultimately decide Hastert’s sentence. The charge of evading currency reporting requirements carries up maximum 5-year prison sentence, $250,000 fine and three-years of supervised release.

Hastert is scheduled to be sentenced on February 29, 2016.
