John Boehner may be gone, but the stench of his cigarette habit remains.

Towards the end of his Meet the Press interview on Sunday, Chuck Todd asked Ryan about whether or not removing the smell of smoke from the Speaker’s office was on the agenda. The answer, unsurprisingly, was an emphatic “yes.”

“They have these ozone machines, apparently, that you can detoxify the environment [with], but I’m going to have to work on the carpeting in here,” said Ryan. “You know if you got to a hotel room or get a rental car that’s been smoked? That’s what this smells like.”
