A Florida Cracker Barrel customer was about to pay for his food when he reached into his pocket and his gun dropped from its holster shooting another patron.

The man was headed toward the register when his gun fell and fired a single round into another man’s calf, said spokeswoman Kristen Bentsen in an email. The man was carrying the gun legally, she noted.

The injury sustained by the man who was shot was considered non-life-threatening, Bentsen said, and he was transported to Central Florida Regional Hospital.
