Two dead in two Maryland shootings; suspect in custody

The shootings took place in two different locations. The suspect is believed to have shot his wife Thursday night in a third location prior to Friday’s shootings.
One man was fatally shot and two other people were injured in the parking lot at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda on Friday morning and authorities are investigating whether the assailant is a man believed to have shot and killed his wife outside a Maryland school Thursday evening.
Soon after the mall shooting, a woman was fatally shot at a grocery store several miles away, and authorities believe the same shooter may be responsible.
The suspect had a stay away order in connection with a custody battle with his wife.
n the court’s final order, entered March 17, Eulalio Tordil, of Adelphi, was ordered to stay away from his estranged wife, her residence and her place of employment. A Prince George’s Public School website lists Gladys Tordil as an employee at Parkdale High School.
In addition, Eulalio Tordil had been ordered to turn over his firearms in the March 17 ruling.
Tordil is employed as a law enforcement officer with the Federal Protective Service.
