Reporter thinks Trump leaked his own phony phone call

The People reporter who Donald Trump talked to as “John Miller” thinks Trump, himself, leaked the call.ic.
“Two people had the tape,” [Sue] Carswell told CNN Saturday morning. “Trump had the tape and I had the tape. And I don’t have the tape.” She added, “It didn’t get to the Washington Post through me.” (The Post broke the story.)
The somewhat comical notion that Trump would impersonate his own publicist has managed to draw attention away from the candidate’s failure to disclose his tax returns and further scrutiny of his ex-butler, currently being investigated by the Secret Service for saying that President Obama should be hanged for treason. Carswell said that was entirely by design. “Trump seems to like to pull People magazine-type stories into the array,” she said.
