Police are calling it an ambush, as the three were shot leaving a basketball game in Philadelphia.

Police say the victims, 14, 15 and 16-year-old males were walking back from a basketball tournment when gunfire erupted.

Ten shots were fired from a large semi-automatic weapon, investigators say.

The 15-year-old was hit in the face. He later died at Penn Presbyterian Hospital.

The other two victims were also taken to the hospital. They suffered wounds to the arm and ankle. They are both in stable condition.

Police say the incident started last week after an argument on the basketball court.

They think the shootings could be a result of that fight.
