See, Dowd was on CNN this morning promoting her new book with essays about Trump and Hillary Clinton, and she recalled things that Trump told her in their one-on-one interviews and things she confronted him on.

Trump has done a couple of interviews with Dowd this election cycle. And it sure seems like she got him to actually admit contrition for some things.
