David Duke joins Trump in promoting anti-journo terrorism
It started when the reporter who exposed the racist creator of a video meme that Donald Trump included in a tweet that promoted violence against CNN received a slew of death threats:
Jared Yates Sexton, a journalist who teaches writing and linguistics at Georgia Southern University, reported Sunday that the president had shared an internet meme created by a Reddit user called “HanAssholeSolo.”
That person made frequent racist and threatening posts on Reddit, including one earlier this month identifying Jewish employees of CNN.
Sexton tweeted Monday that he had gotten numerouts threats — often accompanied by antisemitic and Nazi themes — since revealing the meme’s creator.
I’d like to give a little insight into what it’s like being a journalist in 2017 and why Trump’s rhetoric is incredibly dangerous 1/

“Now articles are showing up on Neo-Nazi websites, there are videos spliced with Goebbels telling me not to test his patience,” Sexton tweeted. “That one also has footage from Natural Born Killers of a journalist being executed by shotgun. On forums, under my tweets, there’s a list of excerpts from newspaper articles about journalists being slaughter, the details gory.”
It should come as no surprise that professional racist and resentful failed politician David Duke has decided to once again go into self promotion mode and play “victim” while calling for terrorism against journalists:
Former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke complained that journalists had terrorized him for decades after a reporter was flooded with death threats for exposing the “obviously racist” creator of an animation shared by President Donald Trump. …
Duke responded to Trump’s tweet by justifying violence against journalists, who he accused of promoting violence against him dating back to his time with a neo-Nazi student group at Louisiana State University and as imperial wizard
The #FakeNews media has spent 50 yrs misrepresenting me and promoting violence against me. It took .@realDonaldTrump to finally expose them.

… Duke responded to Sexton’s claims by suggesting journalists deserved violent threats for exposing his own racist statements and activity throughout his public life as a KKK leader and political candidate.
I have literally been the target of “Journalist” terrorism for 50yrs. The climate of hated/violence your profession has created is shameful. https://t.co/lF8hCLAAGg

America is seeing leaders – political and movement – who cannot handle the truth and react by promoting violence. Some dare call it institutionally sanctioned terrorism.
Happy July 4th!
