When the Establishment’s “Morning Mika” begins to sound more like The Resistance…
Mika Brzezinski, lest you forget, got her start in the national media as a tough, penetrating news correspondent for CBS News. She got hired away by NBC News before being partnered with former Republican congressman — and now former Republican — Joe Scarborough as co-host of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” a program that would regularly cheese off Democrats and liberals with their softball treatment of Republicans.
That is, until Trump became president. The situation is kind of ironic in that Joe and Mika would fawningly chat up candidate Trump — but abruptly turned on Trump after he became the current occupant of the Oval Office.
In the matter of a little more than a year, the criticism coming from Joe and Mika has gone from muted concern to outright condemnation.
This morning, minutes into the first hour and in response to Kasie Hunt’s report on the epic leak concerning Trump having ignored a “DO NOT CONGRATULATE” memo from his national security team, Mika went on a real tear — blasting Republicans for standing on the sideline, blasting Trump for his inability to understand the function of the Attorney General, citing the expanding roster of women claiming to have been sexually accosted by Tump, and declaring Trump “unfit to lead”:
