The FBI on Monday raided the office of Donald Trump’s longtime personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, and seized records related to several topics and that includes payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels, according to the New York Times. Federal prosecutors in Manhattan obtained a search warrant after receiving a referral from special counsel Robert Mueller. Cohen’s lawyer called the search “completely inappropriate and unnecessary.” He forgot to add “scary.”
According to the report, the search may not be directly related to Mueller’s investigation, but it appears more likely to have come from information he had uncovered and gave to prosecutors in New York. MORE…
