David Corn reminds us all:
When was the last time a president said, "I hereby demand"? The GOP is enabling authoritarianism.

So Trump wants law enforcement investigated. Be careful what you ask for, Uncle Dotard!
Justice Department spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores emailed: “The Department has asked the Inspector General to expand the ongoing review of the FISA application process to include determining whether there was any impropriety or political motivation in how the FBI conducted its counterintelligence investigation of persons suspected of involvement with the Russian agents who interfered in the 2016 presidential election. As always, the Inspector General will consult with the appropriate U.S. Attorney if there is any evidence of potential criminal conduct.”
Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein also weighed in, releasing a statement that read: “If anyone did infiltrate or surveil participants in a presidential campaign for inappropriate purposes, we need to know about it and take appropriate action.”
Liberal Twitter comedia Tea Pain explains it succinctly.
Rosenstein is playin’ poker, while Trump’s playin’ “Crazy Eights.”
Nicely done, Mr. Rosenstein. You froze the wannabe dictator while Mueller lines up the next batch of indictments.https://t.co/TrKyJB6rnt

Keep in mind that trump demanded this inquiry not via conventional or accepted channels but through Twitter. It is part of his strategy to keep his base angry and conspira-gaslighted. Rosenstein is not merely buying time; he is playing to win.
‘Nuff said.
