Conservative anti-Trump candidate Richard Painter’s first political ad is an instant classic
If you are a regular MSNBC watcher, you already know Richard Painter is a former ethics attorney in George W. Bush’s White House and one of Donald Trump’s most well-informed, formidably-prepared and vociferous media critics.
Painter was a Republican until this spring, when he registered with Minnesota’s DFL Party (Democrats) within the required timeframe to jump into the U.S. Senate race. He is running a long-shot campaign to defeat Tina Smith, and just launched his first video campaign ad late last night.
