Rep. Adam Schiff’s hot move will trigger mass freakout among Trump and his henchmen
Yesterday, House Judiciary Committee chairman Jerry Nadler fired off letters to 81 individuals and groups requesting information and documents relating to possible legal infractions by Donald Trump’s many minions.
Today, it was revealed that the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee made a move sometime last month that should strike even more fear into Team Trump.
Representative Adam Schiff, the chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, has hired a veteran prosecutor with experience fighting Russian organized crime to lead his investigation of the Trump Administration. Last month, according to a committee source, Daniel Goldman, who served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of New York from 2007 to 2017, joined the committee’s staff as a senior adviser and the director of investigations.
Last month could mean as recently as late last week.
Goldman’s background — and existing knowledge base — should prove particularly useful to the committee.
[Goldman] was second-in-command at SDNY’s organized crime unit, has prosecuted the Russian mob and has secured convictions for racketeering, murder and money laundering, including against the Genovese crime family.
We already know that Schiff’s calls for a thorough investigation of TrumpWorld’s interactions with and ties to Russia and Russians triggers the former reality show host.
Trump has increasingly feuded with Schiff since Democrats regained investigative power with their House majority, calling him “Little Shifty Schiff” [editor’s not: and much worse] during his lengthy, expletive laden speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference over the weekend.
So prepare yourself for a full-fledged orange-tinted meltdown!
