Reid Responds To Coburn Allegedly Calling Him An ‘A-Hole’
It’s being reported that Senator Tom Coburn would like a meeting with Harry Reid to clarify what was said, but Reid’s office says there has been no request from Coburn for a meeting. Reid took a shot at Coburn by saying that, in 10 years, Coburn hasn’t sponsored one piece of bipartisan legislation. And that’s not all:
“Nothing says ‘comity’ like childish playground name-calling, especially from a senator who has not sponsored a single piece of successful bipartisan legislation during his entire Senate career,” Reid’s spokesman Adam Jentleson said in a statement to The Hill.
Meanwhile, Coburn took more shots at the majority leader, blasting him Tuesday morning for his management of the Senate, which has become increasingly partisan in recent years.
“I think he’s done more damage to the Senate than any majority leader,” Coburn said.
